Hour 14 Mini-Challenge

CLOSED
Hello, fellow readers. I'm Kanaye (Kuh-nay). It is so nice to meet you all.

How is this 14th hour of the 24 Hour Read-a-Thon treating you? Still going strong? Good!

I currently work at a library. Here I am in my favorite section; Young Adult.

Yay books!

I've always been a reader, but I was seven the first time I stepped into a library. It was a huge one and there were books everywhere. A dream come true.
I looked around and immediately said, "I want to work here when I grow up!"
My friend's mother looked at me and said, "They don't actually read all day, you know. They actually work."
"Oh," I said. " Never mind."
And now, almost 20 years later, I'm working at a library, albeit a much smaller version of that first one.

Mini-Challenge:
Challenge open hours 14, 15 and 16.

Comment and tell me, in 200 words or less, about your first experience with a library, or most memorable, most fun, most recent or any other library experience you feel like sharing.

Please be sure to add your info so I am able to contact you if you've won the prize.

The prize for this mini-challenge is not a book. The randomly drawn winner will receive a lap blanket I myself recently finished crocheting. Big enough to curl up and read in. 50" X 30", if my measurements were correct. The prize is only available to those in Canada, USA, or Mexico.

Isn't it pretty?

It was great reading all your library experiences. Some of you made me laugh while others I fully understand.

Using Random.org the winner of the blanket is #15: Sheila @ Bookjourney
